Revelstoke Railway Day is back this Saturday

For the older kids, they’ll get to test their engineering skills in a bridge building contest and learn about different engineering aspects of the railway, such as the working of a train horn, railway signal control, levitation and propulsion of modern day maglev trains.

Attention rail fans!

Railway Day is back for 2019, with a day packed full with fun, family-friendly events and live music this Saturday, from 11am. For the younger ones, there will be a tattoo station, bouncy castle, and balloon animals. Additionally, kids will get the chance to make their own engineer’s hat, receive train tickets, and make their own sponge paint artwork. For the older kids, they’ll get to test their engineering skills in a bridge building contest and learn about different engineering aspects of the railway, such as the working of a train horn, railway signal control, levitation and propulsion of modern day maglev trains.

No lively event is complete without some good food and music. Grab some snacks courtesy of Twisted Berry, Curb Servin’ and Revelstoke Credit Union. Then, take some time to kick back, relax, and enjoy live music by the Maritime Kitchen Party. They’ll be belting out a variety of songs including originals, rock, country, and more. After a wild day of festivities, take a quiet moment to participate in our silent auction. There will be tons of railway memorabilia up for grabs.

With all these activities, this is a day you certainly wouldn’t want to miss.
