After a triumphant 2021/2022 season at the Revelstoke Forum, the Grizzlies will be hosting a larger tournament on home ice next year.
The Revelstoke Grizzlies and the City of Revelstoke will host the 2023 Cyclone Taylor Cup from April 13 to April 16, 2023, at the Revelstoke Forum. BC Hockey made the announcement on April 26. This is Revelstoke’s first time hosting the Cyclone Taylor Cup.
“I’d like to thank all the members of our Cyclone Taylor Cup bid committee for their time and effort that has brought this prestigious event to Revelstoke,” said Ryan Parent,
general manager of the Revelstoke Grizzlies.
“Our community has become well-known for its tremendous support of junior hockey and we’re excited to showcase that
next April!”

Revelstoke Grizzlies head into their fifth Cyclone Taylor Cup
While 2023 will be the first time the Revelstoke Grizzlies host the Cyclone Taylor Cup, the team is well-acquainted with the annual tournament.
Since 1967, the Cyclone Taylor Cup has served as British Columbia’s Provincial Junior B Hockey Championship. The yearly tournament is held amongst the champions of the Pacific Junior Hockey League (PJHL), the Kootenay International Junior Hockey League (KIJHL), and the Vancouver Island Junior Hockey League (VIJHL), as well as the host team of the event.
Four teams will participate in the 2023 Cyclone Taylor Cup. The Revelstoke Grizzlies will be joined by the winners from the PJHL, KIJHL and VIJHL championships.
However, only one team will be named B.C.’s Provincial Junior B Champions.
The 2023 tournament marks the fifth time that the Grizzlies will compete for the Cyclone Taylor Cup. Revelstoke won the tournament in 1998, 2010 and 2019.
Most recently, the Grizzlies took home third place in the 2022 Cyclone Taylor Cup after winning the KIJHL Championships.

According to BC Hockey’s release, the 2022/2023 tournament will be held in accordance with any provincial health orders that may be in place at that time.
Schedules and ticket packages will be announced closer to April 2023. For more information on the 2023 Cyclone Taylor Cup, visit the KIJHL’s official website.
