Sadhana/Meditation

‘Practicing meditation on a regular basis is like wiping the dust from a mirror every day. In a clean mirror you can see yourself clearly. Similarly, in the clean mind the Self is seen.’ Baba Hari Dass

Learn to empty the mind to come back to Self. Through easy and accessible practices known as Sadhana or spiritual practice, you’ll be guided in various Pranayama (breathing techniques), Pratyahara (withdrawing the mind from the senses), Dharana (one-pointedness) and Dhyana (deep concentration) exercises. No experience required and all are welcome.

Innovation Night: Sports, Rec & Adventure Tech @ Revelstoke United Church
Nov 22 @ 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm

INNOVATION NIGHT IS BACK!

This is Revelstoke’s key event for citizens to collaborate on solutions to community issues, and present ideas on opportunities to their peers and Revelstoke’s innovation community. It’s a hackathon and critical look by a group of locals; challenging them, supporting them and fostering their growth offline & online.

Are you brewing on an idea in Revelstoke’s sports, rec and adventure tech industry?

You can pitch your idea to:

• Startup a new outdoor activity, innovate and create new products
• Connect with other entrepreneurs and form partnerships
• Explore opportunities to utilize digital technologies and tools to develop and commercialize new marketable products

WHAT IS A HACKATHON?

Hacking is creative problem solving. The format is hands on; a series of short talks from people with ideas for a new business, or a stubborn problem in the space, followed by a series of collaborative and structured working sessions to develop solutions/offerings that could fill the need.

Participants typically form groups of about 2-5 individuals, take pen to paper and use laptops to dive into challenges and opportunities.
