The provincial transportation ministry is warning motorists that they should expect delays on the Trans-Canada Highway throughout the next three weeks near Revelstoke. The cause of the delays is the installation of remote avalanche control systems at Three Valley Bluffs.
Three-hour delays are expected 19 kilometres west of Revelstoke on:
-Wednesday, May 17, 2 to 5 p.m.
-Tuesday, May 30, 2 to 5 p.m.
Multiple intermittent closures of up to 20 minutes are also expected between 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. throughout the weeks of May 15 and May 22, 2017.
Motorists are advised to check DriveBC for the latest travel information and delays: http://www.drivebc.com/
This project will require traffic interruptions and closures from now through June 23, 2017.
