Motorists expect delays on Trans-Canada at Three Valley Gap

In the coming weeks there will be delays on the Trans-Canada Highway at Three Valley Gap for the installation of avalanche control equipment. Find out the times of major closures here.

The provincial transportation ministry is warning motorists that they should expect delays on the Trans-Canada Highway throughout the next three weeks near Revelstoke. The cause of the delays is the installation of remote avalanche control systems at Three Valley Bluffs.

Three-hour delays are expected 19 kilometres west of Revelstoke on:

-Wednesday, May 17, 2 to 5 p.m.

-Tuesday, May 30, 2 to 5 p.m.

Multiple intermittent closures of up to 20 minutes are also expected between 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. throughout the weeks of May 15 and May 22, 2017.
